ACC Australia’s 2019 series of in-house counsel days are now being delivered to in-house audiences across Australia. Starting in February, these full-day annual conferences have been delivered in Adelaide, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. With further events to be held in Brisbane and Canberra throughout June and July, the series of events will have reached an audience of more than 800 in-house counsel.

ACC Australia’s in-house counsel days are popular events among the local in-house communities as they provide a relaxed environment, often in contrast to the fast pace of two and three-day conferences.

A highlight of the events has been the chief legal officer (CLO) club events, which feature facilitated roundtables discussing pertinent issues for general counsel and CLOs. The events also feature a strong focus on “soft skills” for in-house lawyers, covering issues relating to managing teams, developing influencing skills and effective use of resources.

Notable speakers across the events have been: Australian criminal and human rights lawyer, Rabia Siddique; employment adviser and author, Rose Bryant-Smith; and business coach and founder of Smart Women Connect, Fiona Craig.

With the Canberra in-house counsel day rounding out the 2019 series, the ACC Australia chapter events team will turn their focus to the 2019 ACC Australia National Conference, being delivered in Adelaide in November.
