ACC Australia extended a hearty congratulations to the first Australian graduating class of the ACC In-house Certification programme.
After four intensive days including assessment, the ACC awarded the In-house Counsel Certified (ICC) designation to the first Australian intake.
In addition to the dedicated graduating class (pictured above), ACC also thanked the College of Law, sponsors and guest lecturers for making the first delivery of the programme in Australia a success.
The ACC In-house Counsel Certification Programme covers the core competencies that are applied by corporate counsel professionals. Certification is not tied to any specific country’s laws, but draws from the experience of ACC’s global membership to identify skills essential to successful in-house practice.
The programme’s 25-hour curriculum targets three competency areas: stakeholder relationships, law department management, and legal services. Training and certification exams are conducted in English.
Upon completing the requirements of the programme, participants earn the In-house Counsel Certified (ICC) designation. This global credential indicates that its holder possesses the competence, skills and acumen to complement a high-performing organization.
Developed specifically for in-house lawyers, the ACC In-house Certification programme has been delivered in the Middle East, Europe and Australia, and will also be delivered in Amsterdam and New Jersey in the coming months. It will return to Australia in 2020, with the programme to be delivered in Melbourne.
