Asenior executive of Beijing-headquartered AnJie Law Firm said the firm’s newly launched Shenzhen office is not the end of an expansion that may see the firm target western China next.

Zhan Hao, managing partner of AnJie, told China Business Law Journal that Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen were China’s most economically developed cities and their demands for legal services were also the strongest. So it was a natural choice to open AnJie’s third office in Shenzhen, following the Beijing and Shanghai offices.

“AnJie will maintain the status quo for a while,” he said. “Many Fortune 500 companies have set up branches in Chengdu, and the city’s economic development has been rapid in recent years. AnJie has already launched offices in northern, eastern and southern China. For the need of our future development, we may set up an office in Chengdu as our branch in western China.”
