Ramil Bugayong is the lead partner for the firm’s banking, finance and capital markets group as well as co-heading the infrastructure group while continues to be heavily involved in M&A practice. As head of the banking group, Ramil has spearheaded several key transactions of the Firm from large FIG M&A to project financing and regulatory issues to more complex and highly specialized functions such as developing comprehensive legislative proposals on behalf of governmental agencies, as well as managing public consultation processes for projects that involve various industries. Ramil is also heavily involved in fintech and microfinance advisory work.
Prior to joining the firm, he was an attorney for the Philippine Department of Finance from 2002-06 and was a consultant to the Asian Development Bank and the World Bank on the development of certain non-traditional financial products. He was also a former lecturer on financial transactions for the joint MBA-JD program of DLSU-FEU. Ramil is a ranked lawyer by leading legal publications.
