Bi Chen is the chief representative at MinterEllison’s Beijing office. She specialises in corporate and commercial law, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and foreign direct investments.

She has had extensive experience acting for Chinese state-owned enterprises and private companies in their outbound investments and market entry strategies. Among the sectors where she operates are energy and natural resources, infrastructure, food and agribusiness, consumer services, financial services and health.

Bi’s clients trust her because she understands the commercial drivers of Chinese investors, helping them navigate new markets and realizing the full potential and value of their investments.

Bi has been admitted to practice law in Australia and has a master’s degree in finance from the University of New South Wales. She is fluent in English and Mandarin.
