Introduction

Zhang Tao has been practicing since 1993 and has been a senior partner at Anli Partners and Global Law Office. For 4 years during his legal career, he specialized in investment and inhouse counsel and served as General Counsel and Vice President at famous PE funds and a FOF.

Zhang has been working part-time at Renmin University as a professor, and led the committee of NPL of Beijing Bar Association for 8 years.

Zhang is a tremendously experienced lawyer specializes in IPO, mergers and acquisitions, fund formation, private equity and corporate financing, NPL deals and arbitration cases concerning the fields abovementioned, with particular expertise in advising on complex transaction structures and complicated legal issues. He has represented a great number of state-owned enterprises, private enterprises, and collectively owned enterprises, foreign enterprises and investment institutions, in a variety of industries, including but is not limited to equipment manufacturing, financial, new materials, healthcare, TMT, automotive, retail, internet and software, culture and tourism, and education. Zhang has advised numerous enterprises on formation, financing, restructuring, domestic and overseas initial public offerings, M&A, and  bankruptcy. He gained high appreciation and full recognition for his professional competence from his clients and business partners. A shares issue to purchase assets by CSICL(China Shipbuilding Industry Company Limited) which Zhang engaged in from 2010 to 2012 won the award by OECD, Shanghai Stock Exchange and SASAC.

Zhang’ s representative cases include: IPOs of A shares of China Merchants Energy Shipping Co. Ltd, China Shipbuilding Industry Company Ltd, Jiu Zhou Electronic Co. Ltd, San Xiang Advanced Material Co. Ltd. and IPO of Hong Kong shares of Dynasty Fine Wine Group Ltd. deals and cases concerning the fields of M&A, NPL and other commercial transactions he acted as attorney or arbitrator.
