Introduction

Chen Jing is an equity partner and an IP attorney of Commerce & Finance Law Offices, and also an expert member of the Beijing Film and Television Copyright Expert Appraisal Committee. Chen practises disputes with special focus on contentious matters regarding patents, trademarks, copyright and competition. Chen represented numerous domestic and foreign listed companies, and famous multinational companies, in their litigation cases in respect of civil disputes of infringement and contract, as well as administrative disputes of objection, review and invalidation.

The patent cases represented by Chen cover technical fields such as electronics, communications, medicine, machinery, chemical industry, etc. With a solid legal foundation, a continuous exploration of new knowledge, enthusiasm in new fields, a serious working attitude and a professional spirit of being responsible for clients, most of the cases represented by Chen have achieved satisfactory results.

Because of their social impact and guiding significance, many cases represented by Chen were selected as “Top 10 innovative intellectual property cases”, “Top 10 intellectual property cases of Chinese courts”, “Top 10 innovative intellectual property cases of Chinese courts”, and “Top 10 typical intellectual property cases of Beijing courts” by the Supreme People’s court and Beijing Municipal Higher People’s Court. The judgments were also selected into the “Guide to the Supreme People’s Court’s IP Trial Cases” and “Top 10 Typical Cases of Intellectual Property of Beijing Courts”.

In recognition of her influence in the area of IP, Chen was selected as one of the “100 young legal talents” by Beijing Law Association, and was awarded the “2015-2018 excellent lawyer of Chaoyang District, Beijing” title by Beijing Chaoyang Bar Association, and the “2015-2018 excellent lawyer of Beijing” title by Beijing Bar Association.
