Introduction

Lin Qing is a partner of Grandall Law Firm (Beijing). She has more than a decade experience in investment and financing, antitrust, cross-border mergers and acquisitions (M&A), transactions in energy and infrastructure sectors, and foreign-funded M&A projects. She has also provided comprehensive legal services to central government-owned enterprises, large state-owned enterprises (SOEs), listed companies and overseas funds in terms of domestic and overseas equity transactions, asset transactions, technology transfers, and antitrust filings.

Her main clients include: CRRC Corporation, State Power Investment Corporation, China General Nuclear Power Corporation, China Clean Development Mechanism Fund, China Datang Corporation, Golden Concord Holdings, ISQ, and Standard Chartered Bank. The representative cases of Lin include the notification of the concentration in the first large-scale merger of central enterprises: The CSR merger with the CNR; multiple overseas investment M&A projects of the CRRC (for example, on behalf of the CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive Co acquisition of Vossloh Locomotives), the greenfield investment project under the Belt and Road Initiative of State Power Investment Corporation, and the financing for the Sino-Russian co-operation project of Yamal LNG.

Lin is good at transaction legal work management, co-ordinates the work of overseas law firms, and co-operates with other consultants to jointly design a trading structure for the client, assist the internal legal department of the company in project risk management, lead the negotiation, and assist in the closing of trading. Lin has a keen awareness of the legal needs of clients, actively seeks solutions, and can provide high-quality legal services beyond the expectations of clients, so she obtains their full trust.

Due to her project experience and client feedback, Lin was rated as a leading lawyer in mergers and acquisitions, antitrust and other fields by multiple domestic and foreign law magazines. Moreover, as a Chinese lawyer, Lin also participated in the A&L Goodbody International Senior Lawyers Training Programme, and worked for four months in top-tier Irish law firms.
