Introduction

Sun Jiangang joined JunHe in 2006, and focuses on corporate/M&A, NGO, PE/VC and capital market.

Sun has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, and private equity/venture capital investments including both equity and asset deals. He has a strong ability to provide all-round legal services in the course of an investment, ranging from deal structure design, legal due diligence, transaction documentation, negotiation, closing, completion of post-closing covenants, restructuring for IPOs, and other general cooperate services. He has assisted clients in completing many high-profile cross-border strategic acquisitions, private equity/venture capital investments, IPO and delisting deals.

In addition, Sun often advises international clients on foreign direct investment, and has provided legal services to dozens of multinational enterprises and NGOs with respect to negotiation with local government, land bidding and granting, incorporation and filing change of China subsidiary, liquidation and closure, contract review, compliance review, labour law advice, foreign NGO registrations in China, etc.

Before joining JunHe, Sun served as a government official at Shanghai Public Security Bureau, and specialized in the supervision service of consulates-general, international organizations, and foreign citizens in Shanghai. Sun was appointed by BlueScope China as its acting general counsel in regional headquarters in 2011. He has worked as an adjunct professor for LLM students by East China University of Political Science and Law since 2016. Sun was awarded one of Top 10 Outstanding Young Lawyers by CLECSS in 2018. He graduated from East China University of Political Science and Law, Shanghai Academy of Social Science, and the University of California, Berkeley. He has received the honours of Excellent Graduate, Excellent Graduation Thesis Award, and Best Legal Writing Award.
