Clyde & Co has entered into two new arrangements recently, one in Malaysia and the other in New Zealand.
The firm entered into an association with Malaysian law firm Shaikh David & Co in a move the firm said would allow it to provide an integrated service for existing clients in Malaysia, and internationally when appropriate, across key sectors such as insurance, construction and infrastructure, transportation, natural resources and energy.
Shaikh David & Co is a partnership between Shaikh Abdul Saleem and James P David, which offers insurance and reinsurance, banking and insolvency, shipping and offshore and general litigation and corporate advisory legal services in Malaysia.
Clyde & Co has also entered into a “best friends” association with New Zealand insurance litigation boutique firm Fee Langstone. The two firms will work together, refer work to one another, and undertake joint marketing initiatives across the region as part of the arrangement.
“Our team has worked with clients on New Zealand-related matters for many years, so it’s strategic to collaborate with a leading New Zealand law firm to be able to provide a comprehensive service for clients with interests in New Zealand – Fee Langstone is a natural fit for Clyde & Co and we all look forward to working closely with the partners and staff there in order to assist our respective, and mutual clients,” said Clyde & Co’s managing partner, Australia, Dean Carrigan.
