Singapore-based Dacheng Wong Alliance (DCWA) signed a memorandum of understanding with Vietnamese law firm Indochine Counsel last month.
The two firms intend to jointly organize seminars to discuss with clients the legal issues affecting clients in Singapore, Vietnam and India. DCWA, a Singapore-China joint venture law firm, took on India-qualified lawyer Yang Yen Thaw two months ago to co-head its India practice with managing principal Aloysius Wee.
“Vietnam is a very exciting market for us,” said Wee. “We have been working before with Indochine Counsel on Vietnamese business in and around Singapore and have been receiving enquiries about doing business in Vietnam from various clients, including those in India.”
