The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has approved the proposed acquisition by General Motors Hong Kong (GMHK) of SAIC General Motors from SAIC Motor HK (SAIC HK).
SAIC General Motors (formerly known as Shanghai General Motors Company) is a joint venture between General Motors and SAIC Motor which manufactures and sells vehicles under the Chevrolet, Buick and Cadillac brands in China.
SAIC HK will transfer its shareholding in the joint venture to GMHK.
