The legal counsel and assistant vice-president for intellectual property and data privacy at Genpact has set up a consultancy focusing on data privacy and intellectual property (IP).
Srinjoy Banerjee opened an office in Gurugram and named his company Excaliburancy. The company will provide consultancy as well as litigation and prosecution advisory relating to data privacy and IP.
Privacy and Data Protection are the most misunderstood and abused areas of law Banerjee said, adding that there is an immediate need to correct this imbalance and to bring about awareness and advisory in this area and the new age nuances of IP.
