Universal Legal advised UAE-based Foundation Holdings and other investors on their investment in GrayQuest Education Finance when the education-focused fintech company recently raised ₹87 million (US$1.2 million) in pre-series A funding. Jerome Merchant + Partners advised GrayQuest.
Universal Legal’s team comprised partner Rashi Kapoor Mehta and senior associate Neelkamal Chaudhary. Mehta told India Business Law Journal the firm was “very happy to support Foundation Holdings, the Jeejeebhoy family office and other investors on this transaction”.
Jerome Merchant’s team comprised partner Sameer Sibal and associates Rishabh Gupta and Nirav Bakshi. Sibal told India Business Law Journal that a “final list of all the angel investors is still confidential”.
The deal was signed in July and is yet to close.
