Suhail Nathani is the managing partner of Economic Laws Practice (ELP). He is an alumnus of Cambridge University, and has an LLM from Duke University in the US. He is admitted to the Bar Council of India as well as the State Bar of New York.
With over 25 years of experience, Nathani is considered a leading lawyer in competition law and policy. He has extensive experience before the CCI and Competition Appellate Tribunal.
Experienced also in international trade and customs, Nathani advises and represents clients on trade remedial measures and international trade disputes. He advised on aspects of GATT, GATS and free trade agreements, including rules of origin, non-tariff barriers, trade remedial measures and market access.
Nathani advises also on capital markets and securities laws. He has advised clients on private equity investments, M&A, joint ventures, strategic alliances and corporate restructuring.
Prior to co-founding ELP, he was the general counsel of a telecommunications carrier in Washington, DC that went public.
