Sumeet Kachwaha is the founding partner of Kachwaha & Partners, a leading dispute resolution and arbitration practice. He has handled many landmark and high-stake matters (including a large number of cross-border disputes).
Kachwaha has been appointed sole arbitrator by Delhi High Court in several arbitrations. He has also served as amicus curiae to Delhi High Court in two matters and has been an expert witness on Indian law in the courts of England and Singapore.
Kachwaha has been ranked in band one for arbitration in Chambers and Partners Asia-Pacific since 2009. He also figures as a “leading individual” in The Legal 500 Asia Pacific in dispute resolution. He features in Who’s Who Legal in five sections: arbitration, asset recovery, construction, government contracts and procurement.
Kachwaha currently serves as vice president of the Asia-Pacific Regional Arbitration Group and part of the six-member advisory board of the Asian International Arbitration Centre (formerly KLRCA). In the past he has served for three years as chair of the dispute resolution and arbitration section of the Inter Pacific Bar Association.
