Vivek Chandy

Introduction

Vivek Chandy assumed office as a joint managing partner of JSA in January 2019 rising to the position less than 10 years after joining the firm. He has more than 30 years of experience in the areas of private equity, mergers and acquisitions, corporate commercial work and real estate advisory in India.

Vivek is one of the few corporate lawyers who has had a successful career as a counsel, both in Mumbai, where he worked in the Seervai Chamber, and in Bangalore. This background has been appreciated by clients. He is also qualified to advise on international commercial arbitrations and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

Vivek is consistently recognised as a leading lawyer for corporate/M&A, private equity, real estate and investment funds by several prominent global legal directories including Chambers and Partners, the Legal 500 and IFLR 1000.
