Jatin Aneja is a senior equity partner at the firm and is also part of the management board of the firm and the national practice head of the projects and project finance practice of the firm. He has extensive experience in projects, infrastructure, project finance and investment across infrastructure sectors including airports, roads, ports, oil and gas, energy (conventional and renewable), power and other urban infrastructure in India.
Jatin has been involved in advising various Indian as well as multinational companies on commercial law aspects, including drafting, structuring and negotiating various investment agreements, joint venture agreements, business purchase agreements, financing agreements, concession agreements, offtake agreement, tolling agreement, EPC contracts, consortium agreements, and other related legal advisory work.
Jatin has advised on some of the largest transactions across infrastructure sectors, including on the privatization and modernization of Delhi and Mumbai airports; the development of a re-gasification terminal in India and cross-border long-term LNG sale and purchase transactions; the development and financing of metro projects across the country; the privatization of container trains in India; gas sale and purchase and gas transportation arrangements for the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India pipeline project and the Iran-Pakistan-India pipeline project (awarded the Energy Deal of the Year by Asian Lawyer ALM Emerging Markets Awards 2014).
Jatin has been ranked in Band 1 in the projects and energy practice by Chambers and Partners consecutively for 12 years (2008-19 editions); leading individual lawyer for infrastructure/energy practise by the Legal 500 for 14 years (2006-19 editions); thought leader by Who’s Who Legal in 2019; and as a leading lawyer by IFLR 1000 2017-19 editions and Asialaw Profiles 2017-19 edition.
