The Securities and Exchange Board of India announced on 21 June that the existing exemption of the one-year lock-in obligations for an initial public offering, which is available to category I alternative investment funds (AIFs) registered under the SEBI (AIF) Regulations, 2012, would be made applicable to category II AIFs as well.
