Khaitan & Co has recruited competition specialist Paku Khan from Amarchand Mangaldas. Khan joins as executive director of competition law at the firm.
Before working with Amarchand, Khan practised as a senior lawyer with A&L Goodbody, the Irish Competition Authority and the Tennessee Attorney General’s Office. He has also worked as a senior in-house lawyer with a New York Stock Exchange-traded company.
Khan is well versed in all aspects of competition, antitrust and corporate law, having practised in these fields for nearly 20 years. He has been involved in multi-million and multi-billion euro transactions both as a private practitioner and on public enforcement bodies. He has advised on complex, high-profile mergers, cartels, dominance and state aid cases before the European Commission, the Irish Competition Authority and other regulatory bodies.
