New Delhi-based law firm LEXport has taken on S Prabhakar as an equity partner. Prabhakar has held in-house positions at a number of companies including Escorts Finance, HFCL Infotel, Ansal API, Bharat Hotels and Experion Developers.
Srinivas Kotni, the founder and managing partner of LEXport, said the firm would look to Prabhakar to provide insights from an in-house angle so as to better understand what companies expect from their legal service providers.
“I have known Mr Prabhakar for the past two decades,” Kotni told India Business Law Journal. “He has more than three decades of rich in-house legal experience in different sectors handling both legal and secretarial functions among others. We are extremely happy to have him on board.”
Prabhakar will lead the firm’s corporate, commercial and National Company Law Tribunal teams and help to develop its real estate practice. In addition, he will share the rainmaker role with Kotni and support the development of best practices at LEXport.
