Luthra & Luthra (L&L) held its annual day celebrations at the Hyatt Regency in Delhi, where promotions were announced for 11 partners, five partner-designates, 14 managing associates and 17 senior associates.
The firm also added partner Bikash Jhawar to its executive committee. “We are delighted to welcome Bikash on board the executive committee,” L&L founder and managing partner Rajiv Luthra told India Business Law Journal. “He has been with us for over a decade, and been instrumental in growing the firm from strength to strength.” The other members on the executive committee are Rajiv Luthra, Mohit Saraf, Sameen Vyas, Sameer Dudhoria, Sundeep Dudeja and Manan Lahoty.
The promoted partners are Altaf Fathima, Kanika Chaudhary Nayar, Manshoor Nazki, Mumtaz S Bhalla, Neha Sinha, Priyanka Singh, Ravi Kumar Dubey, Rohan Shah, Shikhar Kacker, Shiv Sapra and Wasim Beg.
The chief guest for the event was former minister of law and justice Kapil Sibal. He advised lawyers not to count their victories or defeats, but focus on giving their best to the client, and enjoying the ride. Senior partner Mohit Saraf spoke about liberalization of the legal market, exciting times ahead, and how the country was preparing to face various challenges.
L&L has more than 350 lawyers including 75 partners, and recently expanded offices in Delhi, Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
