Christopher & Lee Ong, a member firm of Rajah & Tann Asia, announced the appointment of Yon See Ting and Ong Chee Kwan as joint managing partners.
Yon and Ong succeed Lee Hock Chye, who exits after five years at the helm, but will remain in practice in the field of real estate, banking and finance and corporate law in Malaysia, and as managing partner of Rajah & Tann (Laos).
Formed via a merger of several Malaysian law firms, Christopher & Lee Ong has doubled in size and is recognized among the leading law firms in Malaysia. “The formative years were challenging, and I am proud to have guided the firm through the transition,” said Lee.
Ong said that Lee had laid a “solid foundation in positioning our firm as an employer of choice in Malaysia,” while Yon said, looking forward: “As clients continue to face an increasingly challenging business environment, we will remain focused on delivering quality and commercially astute legal advice while deepening our industry expertise.”
