PE lawyer returns to IndusLaw
IndusLaw has hired Rashi Saraf as a partner in its Bengaluru office. Saraf joins from Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, where she was a principal associate. She has 10 years of experience in private equity and venture capital transactions.
Saraf has advised on various cross-border and domestic transactions in various sectors including healthcare, education, real estate, e-commerce and information technology. “It is nice to welcome back someone who was part of the firm’s initial years,” said IndusLaw founding partner Suneeth Katarki. “She is familiar with the firm, the culture and the team, and I am sure she will fit right back in.” Saraf previously worked at IndusLaw as an associate.
L&S gets Mumbai partner
Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan (L&S) has appointed Ashwin Mathew as a partner in the firm’s Mumbai corporate and financing practice.
Mathew brings more than 20 years of corporate law expertise to the firm and will focus on M&A, private equity, general corporate and financing work. He has previously worked as a partner at various firms, including Khaitan & Co.
“After meeting [Ashwin] multiple times, it was clear to me that he is at a good position as a lawyer, and will be a great asset to our firm with his infectious thirst for knowledge,” said L&S managing partner V Lakshmikumaran. “Ashwin’s experience and skillset dovetail well with the firm’s existing capabilities, and will further deepen our corporate and financing practice in Mumbai.”

HSA Advocates has hired Kshitiz Khera as an associate partner in the New Delhi office. His practice primarily focuses on civil and commercial litigation, bankruptcy and alternate dispute resolution. With more than 10 years of experience in dispute resolution, Khera has been actively engaged in handling corporate and commercial disputes, insolvency and banking litigation, arbitration matters, general civil litigation, and criminal matters.

Gupta has more than 15 years of deal-making experience in cross-border and domestic M&A, private equity and venture capital transactions in a variety of sectors. These include e-commerce, fintech, IT, logistics, education, healthcare, power and renewable energy, infrastructure and real estate.
With Gupta, the firm now has 43 partners and more than 150 associates across its four offices in Bengaluru, New Delhi, Hyderabad and Mumbai.
