Several law firms announced partner elevations to coincide with the start of the financial year. Following are some of the highlights of this year’s promotion season, with firms listed alphabetically.
AZB & Partners promoted 15 lawyers to non-equity partners. They are Aditi Gopalakrishnan, Ambarish Mohanty, Anant Dang, Ankit Tandon, Ashish Pareek, Bharat Apte, Hemangini Dadwal, Siddharth Khanna and Swati Chauhan in New Delhi. Atreya Bhattacharya, Dhirajkumar Totala, Medha Marathe, Shivani Kabra and Vivaik Sharma were promoted in Mumbai and Richa Choudhary in Pune. The firm now has 105 partners.
DSK Legal elevated Vikrant Singh Negi to a non-equity partner in its Mumbai office to work in the litigation and white-collar crimes practice area. The current number of partners at the firm is 19.
HSA Advocates elevated Rahul Talwar and Shreshth Sharma to non-equity partners in New Delhi. Talwar handles corporate, commercial and real estate matters while Sharma handles dispute resolution and regulatory matters.
IndusLaw inducted four lawyers into its partnership. They are Jinni Sinha, Divya Varghese and Anubha Sital in the firm’s corporate practice in New Delhi and Tanu Banerjee in the firm’s corporate practice in Bengaluru. The firm now has 36 partners.
J Sagar Associates promoted 12 lawyers to non-equity partners. Manish Jha, Nikhil Sharma and Rajat Joneja from the disputes practice in New Delhi, and Bharat Bhushan Sharma, Bharati Joshi, Prakriti Jaiswal, Rajul Bohra, Ronak Ajmera, Shantanu Jindel and Zain Pandit in the corporate practice in Gurugram were promoted. While in Bengaluru, Manuel Jose and Siddharth K Vedula from the corporate practice were promoted. The number of partners at the firm is now 98.
Khaitan & Co elevated 11 lawyers to partnership: In its New Delhi office, Tanvi Kumar and Pashupati Nath from the corporate practice and Saman Ahsan and Anushka Sharda from the dispute resolution practice were promoted; In its Kolkata office, Suhana Islam Murshedd from the corporate practice was elevated; In Mumbai, Aravind Venugopal from the corporate practice, Anisha Chand from the competition practice, and Shailendra Bhandare and Smriti Yadav from the IP practice were promoted; In Bengaluru, Sanjay Khan Nagra and Rishabh Bharadwaj from the corporate practice were also promoted. The firm currently has 141 partners.
Trilegal elevated six counsel to partnership. Amar Narula works in energy and infrastructure practice and Tine Abraham works in the disputes practice in New Delhi. Anirudh Agarwala and Harsh Jain work in the corporate practice in Mumbai. Wiseroy Damodaran works in the corporate practice and Anuradha Agnihotri works in the disputes practice in Bengaluru. The firm currently has 50 partners.
