US multinational PerkinElmer has acquired Goa-based Tulip Group, one of the largest manufacturers of medical devices in India.
Tulip is among India’s largest domestic providers of in vitro diagnostic reagents, kits and instruments to customers such as diagnostic labs, and government and private healthcare facilities. Its offerings include products for the prevention, screening and diagnosis of infectious diseases such as malaria, HIV and hepatitis.
New York Stock Exchange-listed PerkinElmer assists scientists, clinicians, and lab professionals with detection, imaging, and informatics solutions. Its global diagnostics portfolio focuses on reproductive health, infectious disease screening and genomics offerings for oncology, and other molecular tests through its range of instruments, reagents, assay platforms and software.
