ShareChat talks investors’ language


Aconsortium of investors comprising Lightspeed Venture Partners, SAIF Partners, India Quotient and VH Capital has invested ₹260 million (US$3.8 million) in Mohalla Tech, which operates ShareChat, a platform that allows users to chat and share posts in their regional languages.

ShareChat will use the funds to extend the app’s reach to smaller cities for people to communicate in Bengali, Tamil, Oriya, Bhojpuri and other languages.
