Sidley Austin announced that Daniel Lin has joined the firm as a partner in its Tokyo office (Sidley Austin Nishikawa). He will be a member of Sidley’s Project Finance and Infrastructure practice.
Lin focuses his practice on energy, infrastructure and M&A matters, advising Asia-based commercial lenders, export credit agencies, utilities, trading companies and corporations on outbound financing and foreign investment in energy projects and other assets around the world.
He has counselled prominent Japanese utility companies on cross-border investments and M&A matters in a variety of industry sectors, including power generation facilities as well as several Asia-based financial institutions and government-supported credit agencies in financing both greenfield and brownfield infrastructure projects.
Lin’s hiring to the project finance and infrastructure practice follows the recent addition of David Gartside in Singapore. John Inglis has also joined the firm’s Tokyo office as counsel, and he will be a member of Sidley’s project finance and infrastructure practice.
