The Singapore Corporate Counsel Association (SCCA) hosted the city-state’s first in-house counsel competition for law students: the SCCA Legal Eagle Challenge.
The fundraising initiative for the charity Child at Street 11 saw 168 participants taking on the role of a fictional charity’s general counsel, working through case scenarios based on real-life issues and challenges due to covid-19.
The competition was open to all students studying a law degree or diploma in Singapore. Focusing on the practical application of the law in the business world, SCCA’s Legal Eagle Challenge aims to develop a new generation of thinkers who are not only proficient in legal knowledge, but are also business savvy and innovative with the ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders and management with varying levels of legal knowledge.
