Squire Sanders announced on 8 May that two new partners, Jenny Liu and Ni Xudong, have joined its Beijing and Shanghai offices respectively.

Both are corporate lawyers. Liu’s practice focuses on private equity and venture capital investment in China, especially for foreign-controlled investment funds. She also represents private Chinese companies on a broad range of corporate and commercial work, including financing and international transactions.

Ni specialises in areas such as cross-border mergers and acquisitions, China regulatory matters, inbound and outbound foreign direct investment, banking and finance law issues, and dispute resolution. The two appointments are part of Squire Sanders’ expansion plans in Asia. Just weeks ago, the firm also opened a Singapore office.

Along with Liu and Ni, Ng Sin Kiu and Kam W Law have been appointed partners to reinforce Squire Sanders’ Hong Kong office.

“Their appointments reflect our commitment to clients operating within the region and our plan to pursue strategic growth in support of their needs,” said Ken Kurosu, the firm’s Asia practice coordinator.
