Toyota Kirloskar Motor, the Indian subsidiary of Toyota, has declared a lockout of two of its plants, following a labour dispute.
The company said on 16 March that certain employees had “resorted to deliberate stoppages of the production line” and had abused and threatened supervisors, thus disrupting the company’s business for 25 days. The company had resorted to a lockout of the premises to protect its workers and management personnel.
