Trilegal has hired Arjun Ghose as a partner in its Bengaluru office. Ghose joins from Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co (SAM) and says working in the city is important for him.
“Having graduated from college in Bengaluru, I’ve always wanted to move back [to the city] at some stage”, Ghose told India Business Law Journal.
“After ten years in New Delhi with Amarchand Mangaldas and SAM I felt that the time was right for me to relocate. Trilegal has a great Bengaluru office.” Ghose joined Amarchand Mangaldas in 2008 and continued to work at its successor firm SAM until December.
He specializes in structured finance, debt restructuring, insolvency and private equity, and recently advised Chryscapital on its US$350 million investment in Mankind Pharma. “I have been involved in most of the major foreign currency convertible bond restructurings such as GTL Infrastructure and the Jaiprakash group of companies over the past couple of years,” said Ghose.
“His varied focus will bring greater depth to our corporate capabilities in Bengaluru,” said Rahul Matthan, a partner at Trilegal.” Trilegal now has 44 partners.
