Trust Legal, a media, broadcasting and infrastructure law firm, has opened an office in Ahmedabad, in Gujarat state.
The Ahmedabad office will be headed by Sameer Shah, a senior partner at the firm. He is an international arbitrator with more than two decades of experience, with a focus on the mediation, maritime and mining sectors.
“The firm will be catering to both litigation and non-litigation assignments, with a primary focus on serving the pharmaceutical and health segments, for which Ahmedabad is the hub,” Shah told India Business Law Journal, adding that the office would also handle work relating to the media, entertainment, maritime and environment practices.
“Seeing the vast potential of Ahmedabad, we felt this to be the most apt opportunity to have our presence there,” said Sudhir Mishra, the founder and managing partner of Trust Legal. “This thought got further strengthened when we met Sameer, India’s finest mediation lawyer.”
Mishra is a media, environment and climate lawyer who has been a special counsel for the Gujarat government from 2008 to 2011. Trust Legal has five partners, and its Ahmedabad office has one partner and two lawyers. The firm has its head office in New Delhi, and also has offices in Noida and Kochi.
