Walkers has announced that James Gaden has joined its Hong Kong office as a partner in the firm’s corporate and investment funds group.
Gaden has over experience in the financial services sector with a focus on investment funds. He has worked with private equity and hedge fund managers across the region including in Hong Kong, China, Japan, South Korea, Singapore and Australia.
He advises on fund formation and structuring, transactional matters including mergers and acquisitions, fund restructuring and fund financing, and he has developed expertise in venture capital, particularly with fintech-related industries.
The addition of Gaden follows the recent hire of regulatory counsel Alice Molan and corporate and investment funds counsel Jo Lit. Walkers has 30 lawyers in its corporate and Investment funds practice in its Asia & Middle East offices.
