White & Case appointed banking expert Charles McConnell as local partner in its Asia banking and restructuring practice based in Singapore.
Prior to joining the firm, McConnell was a counsel at Linklaters and brings 16 years of experience gained in London, Tokyo and Singapore, where he has advised clients for more than a decade.
This is White & Case’s second banking partner hire in Singapore in the past six months, following the addition of seasoned regional finance market practitioner Alexander McMyn from Hogan Lovells in September.
McConnell has extensive experience in cross-border financings in Southeast Asia, including leveraged and acquisition financings, fund-level financings, and structured and corporate financing transactions. He also advises banks, credit funds and corporates in non-contentious insolvency and restructuring matters.
