Zhao Sheng boosts competition, corporate practices

Zao Sheng Law Firm, the China joint operation partner of global law firm Linklaters, recently announced the appointment of Vivian Cao, who joined the firm’s competition practice in Beijing, and corporate M&A practitioner Colette Pan, who is based in the firm’s Shanghai office.

Cao is qualified in China and New York State, and had been a partner
with Fangda since 2017. Prior to that she worked at Freshfields, MWE China and IDG Asia.

Pan is also qualified in China and New York State, and specializes in China-facing financial institutions, tech and fintech M&A, as well as financial regulations. She had been a partner at Fangda Partners since 2018.

“Vivian is a well-recognized competition lawyer in China with both Chinese and international exposure,” said Eric Liu, managing partner of Zhao Sheng Law Firm.

“Colette had spent more than 10 years with our joint operation partner, Linklaters, following her graduation. As a leading practitioner in the financial institution M&A space, she will further strengthen our capabilities in this area … to seize the opportunities arising from the recent opening up of the financial sectors.
